Sift

Use case

Event video: find the keynote line.

Multiple cameras, several rooms, three days. Find the speaker, the crowd reaction or the line that made the room laugh.

In short: Event videographers can add every camera’s footage to Sift and search by description, by the words speakers said, and by the people they’ve named, then send a quick-look link to the organizer.

No editor needed. Sift works on its own as a desktop app on Mac and Windows: search, preview, build Selects and share footage by link without opening an editor. The editor panels are optional.

The problem.

Event deliverables are fast and varied: a recap, speaker highlights, social cuts. Each needs different moments from the same hours.

When you don’t need it.

For a single-camera shoot you deliver the same day, you may not need it.

A workflow that fits.

  1. Add every camera

Index all cards as they come in.

  2. Name speakers

    Name key people once.

  3. Search the line or the shot

A phrase from a talk; “crowd cheering, wide”.

  4. Share for sign-off

Send a link to the organizer.
