Search real footage, right here.
The real Sift search engine over 98 clips of our licensed stock footage. Search by what’s on screen, what’s said, or who’s in it.
This demo runs Sift’s search on a cloud computer, so a brand-new search can take a few seconds. The app searches your own footage right on your Mac or PC, with no upload.

About this demo.
This page runs the same search as the Sift Clips app (Sift’s models, which are open-source models downloaded from Sift’s server) over 98 clips, about 21 minutes, of licensed stock footage: drone shots, city streets, interviews, parties, sunsets and people. Nothing here is pre-recorded: every search is run when you type it.
- Visual: describe the shot. “drone shot over a city” finds 8 aerial clips; “people laughing” finds 29 moments; “funny” finds people laughing too, because Sift reads moods as what they look like.
- Spoken: type words someone says, like a line from the news reporter, and Sift finds the moment they’re said.
- People: pick a name and Sift finds every clip that person appears in. Eight people in this footage have been given first names, the way you’d name the people in your own footage in the app.
- Clips: open any result to play it and see the actions the app has: Send to Premiere, Resolve or Final Cut, Selects, Match and Share link.
In the app, Sift does the same for every folder and drive you sync, on a Mac with Apple silicon or a Windows 10 or 11 PC, and only footage you choose to share ever goes online. Link sharing uses this same page to let anyone search footage you share.
