Comparison
Sift vs Lightroom.
Lightroom is a full photo editor with strong organizing tools. Sift doesn’t edit. It finds photos and video across every drive, in or out of a catalog.
In short: Use Lightroom to edit and to organize what’s in your catalog or Adobe cloud. Lightroom’s desktop app now handles natural search phrases, and Lightroom Classic has People view. Use Sift to search folders and drives that never went into a catalog, photos and video together.
No editor needed. Sift works on its own as a desktop app on Mac and Windows: search, preview, build Selects and share footage by link without opening an editor. The editor panels are optional.
