Press release
Sift Clips 1.0.15 puts photos and video in one search.
Sift Clips now finds photos as well as video, on the user’s own computer. It reads camera RAW, clears duplicate copies and sends picks by link.
In short: Sift Clips 1.0.15 adds photos to its Mac and Windows app. People can search photo libraries in plain words or by person, find exact copies and look-alikes, gather picks, and share photos by link. Search runs on the user’s computer, so photos aren’t uploaded to be searched.
What’s new.
- Photos. JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF and WebP are searched like video: by what’s in them and who’s in them.
- Camera RAW on your own drives. Sift reads the preview the camera stored in each file. Checked with real Canon and Nikon files.
- Find duplicates. Exact copies and look-alikes are shown separately. Extras go to the Trash, and one of each always stays.
- Photo links. People view photos in any browser and download a sharp copy of one or all, with no app or account.
- One allowance. A photo counts as 6 seconds of video, so the free link holds 10 minutes of video or 100 photos.
- Help inside the app. Message support from Sift, with no email app needed.
Who it’s for.
Photographers with years of shoots across drives, and churches, nonprofits, schools and teams whose archives have outgrown folders. Sift doesn’t edit photos, cull shoots or back them up. It finds them.
Availability and price.
